Can I obtain an Aadhaar card even when I am an OCI?

I am an overseas citizen of India and I would like to know if I have to register for an Aadhaar card. Since aadhaar card is necessary for verification am I also required to produce one for verification purpose?

    NRIs and OCIs are not eligible to obtain the Aadhaar card as they are exempted to produce Aadhar card for verification process as per the UIDAI. Therefore, you need not register for a new Aadhaar card.

    Yes, you can obtain an Aadhaar card even when you are OCI. As many of resident of India or agencies are not aware of this thing which I want to highlight if you stay in India for more than 180 days in the year which you are applying for Aadhaar card, you can apply and get the aadhar card.

    If you are a resident of this country, then you can apply. However, if you are an OCI you cannot.
