    Hello,

    Greetings from H&R Block!

You can only claim medical bills for yourself or your parents with your employer, it cannot be claimed at the time of filing ITR.

In case of self occupied house property, you can claim a deduction of Rs.2 lakhs for interest repaid on housing loan, and Rs.1.5 lakhs for the principal amount repaid , including both loans (housing loan and personal loan), personal loan deduction can be maximum up to Rs.30,000.

Simply register on ‘ tax.hrblock.in ‘and get a tax expert to e-file your return.

    Thank You!

    Hello,

In my opinion, you could claim the expenses made on your parent up to Rs. 5,000/- under section 80D as PREVENTIVE HEALTH CHECK UP amount. This you could claim directly in the Return even when you have not claimed it through your employer.

Home loan Principal amount shall be deducted up to Rs. 1,50,000/- under section 80C. And interest amount would be deductible to the extent of 30,000/- under Section 24.
