Since you are a salaried individual with more than one House Property, you will be required to file ITR-2A, assuming you do not have the following:

    1. Business income
    2. Income from Capital gains
    3. Income from a foreign country
    4. Income from lotteries, horseracing, betting,  or crossword puzzles
    5. Do not have income exceeding Rs.5000 from Agriculture
    6. Do not own assets or properties in any foreign country.

In case you have income from any of the above sources, you will have to file ITR -2.

for AY 17-18 I am unable to find ITR-2A. The circular says it is merged into ITR-2. What should I do now?

Since you have more than one house property, you will now have to file ITR-2 for A.Y. 2017-18.
